Full Members
In joining, full members just need to commit to deliver the market incentives that research providers judge as credible:
- Allocate a minimum of 5% of fundamental asset management brokerage commission for rewarding sell-side analysts who are most effective in analysing corporate performance on extra-financial issues or intangibles.
- Participate in the 6 monthly third-party evaluation process that is designed to align, as far as is useful and possible to do, the signals consortium members send to brokers.
- Make transparent to EAI brokers, as is reasonable and appropriate, how your company ensures that this allocation gets implemented in practice.
Associate Members
- Encourage their external asset managers to join as full members. EAI does not seek to impose any particular strategy on its associate members since there are a variety of ways that influence can be brought to bear.
- This may include a commitment to include membership of EAI as one criterion in the selection processes for future mandates, and make decisions on a “comply or explain” basis.
